Is Elon Musk Balding?
What Happened?

Is Elon Musk Balding? Is or Was Elon Musk Balding? What Happened?

Elon Musk is a very rich and powerful man, yet hair loss can still happen to literally anybody.

People are asking themselves was Elon Musk balding at some point in his life and if so, how did he overcome it?

Or Is Elon Musk someone who is currently fighting hair loss today? Let's find out together!

Is or Was Elon Musk Balding?
First, Who Is He?

Hi, first of all before we get into Elon Musk's hair, let's find out exactly who he is shall we?

Elon was born Elon Reeve Musk on June 28, 1971 in South Africa to parents Errol and Maye Musk.

Elon is a multi-billionaire business tycoon and is the wealthiest person in the world according to Forbes Magazine.

Elon Musk is the CEO of :

  • Tesla
  • Space X
  • Twitter
  • The Boring Company
  • Neuralink Corporation
  • OpenAI

Elon Musk is worth an estimated  $197 billion dollars.

When Was Elon Musk Balding And Losing His Hair?

Elon Musk was balding at a fast pace when he was alot younger during his 20's back in the 1990's.

There are many different causes of hair loss such as stress, medication use, genetics and more.

His hair loss cause is unknown. Although I looked up pictures of his family members to see if I can locate any baldness in his family to try and find out where it stems from?

Elon's father seems to have alot of hair although you never know if he had any hair transplants himself that is something that I am unsure of.

But I did come across a pic of Elon's mother Maye with her parents.

I see that Elon's grandfather on his mother's side has dealt with hair loss as seen here:

Although it is a common myth that men's hair loss is only inherited on just the mother's side of the family.

Actually hair loss for men can be inherited from either side of the family tree, I do believe he could've got his hair loss from his mother's side in this case his grandfather pictured above.

How Did Elon Musk Stop Balding?

It is heavily rumored that Elon Musk got a hair loss transplant to overcome his hair loss and I would have to agree based on the scarring located in the back of his head.

Which is coincidentally Identical to the same scarring where a hair transplant would ultimately be on a person's scalp.

Hair transplants are considered very costly for the common man and women who earn minimum wage but not to the wealthy people such as the richest man on earth, Mr. Elon Musk!

Hair transplants can cost thousands even up to $20,000 dollars.

The needed criteria to get a hair transplant done are based on two main factors:

  1. Enough hair on your scalp that can be transplanted to the thinning areas on the scalp
  2. The ability to grow hair on the thinning area of your scalp

Is Elon Musk Still Balding And Fighting His Hair Loss Now?

Elon Musk now has a full head of beautiful hair which is thicker than ever!

Although I am sure that he had ongoing areas that were thinning after his first initial hair surgery that was performed by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

One needs on-going hair transplant treatments in order to see full hair growth results for all areas of the scalp.

This is due to the rest of the hair falling out as time goes on in places of the scalp that the hair transplant was not reach at.

Which means a hair transplant would have to be performed more than just once, to eventually fix all of the hair thinning areas until a fully restored and full head of hair is completely achieved.

Has Elon fully completed all of his hair transplant surgeries, you ask?

Answer: I don't know but either way Elon Musk will continue to get his hair transplants if needed, that is for sure.
