Does stress cause thin hair?

Question: Does stress cause hair loss?

My Answer: Yes, stress can cause hair loss. My family member lost her husband and shortly after had thin damaged hair loss.

She asked me why her hair was acting up so bad. I told her from the stress of losing her husband and moving.

She found it hard to believe me when months passed after the stressful events.

After some time her hair did recover nicely.

As the person recovers from the stress eventually the hair will grow back. I should mention that there are many hair loss causes though but stress is one of them!
